All the tropical pictures you see in this blog are from our 6-month cruising trip to the Exumas, Bahamas in 2006. We will occasionally post pictures of places we are now, or of things that are currnetly going on in our lives, but the real focus of this blog is us getting a boat back on the water.
We have been thinking about the name of our next boat. Our previous boat, sv Into the Light, was named in reference to a verse in the Bible, found in 1 Peter 2:9, which describes us, as Christians, as being called "out of the darkness and into His marvelous light". We both thought that was a wonderful description of life before Christ enters vs. life after He enters.
This time we want to shorten the name because Into the Light is just too many syllables when making radio calls. It becomes a mouthful, and is difficult for those listening to understand. Ideally, two syllables is best, three at the most.
We have no idea what the name of our next boat will be; we have come up with a few possibilities........ I don't think any one of them jumps out as being 'the one', but who knows. We kinda want to use the nautical term KNOT for the word NOT.
Here are a few of them:
Knot Heads
Knot Sea Sick
Knot Loco
Knot a Clew
Knot Home
Knot Tide Down
Knot Tide Up
Knot by Works
Knot Worthy
Knot Our Own
Faith Knot Works
Knot Working
Knot on Dirt
Knot on Wood
